Turkic World Assembly Nominates Leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and U.S. for Nobel Peace Prize

The World Assembly of Turkic Peoples (WATP) has formally proposed nominating Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and U.S. President Donald Trump for the upcoming Nobel Peace Prize.
In its statement, the organization praised the three leaders for their roles in securing a historic peace agreement in the South Caucasus, ending decades of conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. WATP noted that Aliyev and Pashinyan reached the accord without foreign mediation, marking what it called “a new trend in international politics.”
The group credited President Trump with supporting dialogue and cooperation between the two nations, helping pave the way for stability in a strategically important region bridging Europe and Asia.
“Our Assembly believes these leaders have made an outstanding contribution to global peace and deserve the highest recognition,” WATP said in its appeal to the Nobel Committee.
